Function

The Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Specialist (Intern) provides Revenue Cycle Management/Medical Billing services for Azalea clients and operates under the direct supervision of the VP of RCM or Revenue Cycle Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing aspects of the Accounts Receivable functions for medical practices of various sizes and specialties. This includes insurance payment reconciliation, medical claim denials management, and report generation and reimbursement analysis.
  • Effectively communicates coding/billing issues which are causing denials to Coding/Billing Specialist and Account Coordinator.  
  • Applies and understands compliance regulations when appropriate, on own initiative.  Responsible for other Revenue Cycle Management-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a B.B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related degree.
  • Excellent computer and internet skills/instincts
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to remain HIPAA compliant and maintain confidentiality
