FUNCTION

Azalea Health is a web-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service company. This position oversees the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service operation specific to Hospital Facility Clients and operates under the direct supervision of the VP of Revenue Cycle Management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providers leadership, management, and oversight for all RCM service functions and and staff including productivity, turnaround times and other key performance indicators
  • Possesses and demonstrates strong, coding, charge capture, chargemaster,  billing, compliance, and financial skills within an inpatient or hospital facility setting.
  • Regularly reviews all key components of revenue cycle process through dashboards, reports, queries, and other audit tools
  • Review and monitor all revenue cycle interfaces to identify workflow issues and barriers to an effective revenue cycle process
  • Analyze and interpret financial data, employ benchmarking techniques, and follow trends to ensure profit maximization for Azalea RCM clients
  • Proactively identifies sources of issues and communicates these to the appropriate parties. In conjunction with the Client internal RCM staff
  • Maintains ongoing issues and priority list for Clients. Completes analysis of issues for action, presents this information and assists the Client in implementing action plans.
  • Provides Clients with updates on new initiatives within the Azalea platform and RCM service division, designed to improve billing performance. Consults with Revenue Cycle peers to identify issues and trends that contribute to variances and below par performances
  • Facilitates new Client discovery,  implementation, and onboarding  procedures to ensure a smooth transition and high customer satisfaction
  • Works with development resources and product managers  to identify related workflow issues that impact the effectiveness of RCM service processes
  • Travels on a regular basis to visit with management and staff of  existing and potential hospital facility customers
  • Provides assistance and support to the Azalea Sales organization as a subject matter expert and may speak directly to potential RCM customers as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Care Administration or related
  • Minimum 7 years experience in hospital facility revenue cycle operations with Critical Access Hospital and Prospective Payment System Hospital experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
  • Medical coding or billing certification preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to provide leadership and work effectively with all staff levels.
  • Self directed with ability to make quality, independent decisions as well as the ability to collaborate effectively to make decisions with other leaders
  • Ability to quickly identify challenges and provide resolution; must be flexible, willing to travel,  and adaptable to a fast pace and constantly changing environment
  • Proficient in medical software applications, cloud applications preferred, and other online payer or RCM resources
